Update 9 - 'Rivals and Relationships'

What's new in Update 9?

  • Park rework
    • A completely re-written and re-coded Park location. It's approximately 7 times bigger than before. You can meet up with Ben, become rivals, and slowly fatten each other up as your rivalry becomes more intense. When you sabotage his fitness enough, he'll leave and return the next day visibly larger than before!
    • Jogging, Walking, and Picnicking all have variants for if Ben is your rival and is currently at the park.
    • You can compete in a race, a workout, or sports. Winning carries a chance of being sabotaged, while losing lets you sabotage Ben. There are three ways you can sabotage each other, each with variant scenes and slight nuances to each.
    • His 100 relationship scenes are a series of days that get noticeably less active as you fatten him up.
  • Hotel pool
    • There's now a hotel pool you can visit and a new NPC named Ripley who works there. This location is half-done at the moment, but there are multiple pool-related activities and a lewd scene to discover.
    • Currently, these scenes are "Soak in the pool", "Swim in the pool" and "Help Ripley with her sun-cream".
  • Simon content
    • He now has "Flirt" and "Bully" dialogue, as well as three 100 relationship lewd scenes.
    • Room service now has low-relationship variants, and an accompanying bad-end as well.
  • Matt content
    • He now has "Flirt" and "Bully" dialogue, as well as three 100 relationship lewd scenes, and each one splits for a total of 6 possible scenes.
    • Offers bigger characters the opportunity to model for him, and if you model all of his clothes he'll give you stretchy (Untearable) clothing as a reward, assuming he likes you enough, that is.
  • Terry content
    • He now has "Flirt" and "Bully" dialogue, as well as a 100 relationship "Stomach packing" scene.
    • Exceeding 750lbs unlocks a new "Buffet" food option. It can instantly shred your clothing if you're unprepared for a true stuffing.
  • Bertha content
    • She now has "Flirt" and "Bully" dialogue, and if you learn about her backstory she also has two 100 relationship scenes.
    • Bertha can now offer guidance to the player after they've met the Deity, and give you advice on what to do.
  • Sofi content
    • She now has "Flirt" and "Bully" dialogue, offers sex for the first time at 100 relationship, and will continue to do so as long as you have more than 75 relationship.
    • Sofi also has at least three dialogue options per choice, since she was missing a few before.
  • Hunk content
    • He now has "Flirt" and "Bully" dialogue, offers sex at 100 relationship, and will continue to do so as long as you have more than 75 relationship.
    • New "Get destroyed" sex scene with aftercare and kink talk.
    • Sex scenes now unlock with increasing player weight.
  • Nettie content
    • She now has "Flirt" and "Bully" dialogue, and can give you either milk in a bottle, milk from the tap, or food as a reward for helping out around the farm.

  • Artwork
    • New Ben artwork. He has 4 distinct weight categories you can "nudge" him through.
    • "Heading home - Tractor" scene artwork has been added.
    • "Eating contest" and "Food raffle" artworks have been added to the Burger Joint.
    • Every single sprite in the game has been upgraded, with new expressions created for each character as well. This includes the new Ben sprites as well, and was well over 100 new sprites implemented into the game.
    • A tremendous thank-you to Patrons for the above in particular. These kinds of sweeping improvements to assets wouldn't be possible without your support!
    • Every single background in the game was replaced with a water-color-filtered alternative. This was for legal compliance reasons,  and although I'm sure the game already operated under fair-use, this was a good habit to get into to ensure that it stays that way. I also think it looks better, so that's a plus.


  • Audio
    • I have banished that one, looping, grating track from the game and cast it down with an almighty YEET into the recycle bin. Now there are a total of 12 songs throughout the game, with 2 for the hotel room and 10 for each character's location. Some of these fit better than others, but I think it's still a considerable improvement over what was there before.
    • There's now a credits section in the Main Menu so that aforementioned music is legally compliant. It's also used to showcase some of the people involved with the project. Scroll right down to the bottom for a surprise :)

  • Changes
    • Simon's "Clothing ripped" dialogue no longer throws the player back to their room. You get a choice to head straight to the clothing store instead.
    • You can now choose where Sofi massages, instead of it being RNG.
    • Sofi is harder to please (+15 per compliment, down from 25)
    • Sofi now flirts with you when you compliment her, assuming you've been lewd before and she likes you enough. Can also fork directly into her lewd scenes if you agree when she offers them.
    • You can now back out of sex with Hunk if you click into the menu by mistake.
    • Hunk's dialogue variants have been streamlined.
    • You can now back out of the exercise menu.
    • The Burger Joint bad-end now requires Terry to like you less (25, instead of 40)
    • Matt's considerably less easy to please, and won't like you more just for asking him questions.
    • You can ask Simon if he knows somewhere to repair broken clothes, even before you tear your clothes for the first time.
    • Clothing tearing now scales with player weight, only ripping about 5 times between 0-3150lbs, not including new scenes that instantly ruin your clothes.
    • Some of Terry's descriptive text now calls him "Fluffy" instead of "Skinny". This is because he's a fluffy boy, and it's important that the truth gets out there.
    • Player weight now plateaus at 3150lbs. There's no content beyond that point yet, and this is an attempt to corral the player back into new fun stuff. There's a new weight-gain system attached to this, but I'm still quite unhappy with it, so expect it to change again in the future.
    • New locations now unlock once every 3 days, instead of 2.
    • At the start of the game, you can select to see your weight in kg instead of lbs.
    • Relationship is now capped at 100 for all NPCs with relationship systems in place. It'll switch to percentile at some point, probably.
    • The player now has multiple thresholds they can pass at the start of the game where they express surprise at getting big so fast.
    • New dialogue for Sofi since she was missing some.
    • New dialogue for Bertha that explains her past.
    • Sofi can now tell you about and unlock the Gym, since it's where she works out.
    • Terry can tell you about and unlock the Dairy Farm, since it's where the Burger Joint gets its milk.
    • Minor changes to Ripley's dialogue since WIP 5, due to consistency issues.
    • Ben's sabotage attempts now have better feedback compared to WIP 5, since it was causing some ambiguity.

  • Bug fixes
    • Fixed a minor bug where "Heading out" wasn't deducting energy from the player.
    • Fixed a pronoun typo in Matt's "Ask about the town" dialogue.
    • Fixed some dialogue consistency, where certain words were being used too frequently or infrequently.
    • Fixed a bug where getting milk from Nettie would immediately jump into the "Helping out" scene.
    • Fixed a typo where Nettie calls you "Parter" instead of "Partner".
    • Fixed "Walking home" showing the inside of the taxi.
    • Fixed a bug where the "For friendship" option at the start of the game would exclude Bertha and Nettie from the stat bonuses it gives.
    • Fixed a bug where the player would be alerted of their impending doom at the Burger Joint, even if they didn't qualify for the bad-end.
    • Fixed a bug where Terry's repeated dialogue flavour-text would play again for no reason.
    • Fixed a bug where not dreaming would sometimes cause the day to go backwards (Coding is fun).
    • Fixed a bug where the player would be unable to dream about the Deity if certain conditions occurred.
    • Fixed being able to exceed maximum fullness by dating Hunk. Poor Hunk.
    • Fixed a bug where you could do Sundae Service twice in a row, and then only once a day afterwards.
    • Fixed energy weirdness when visiting locations.
    • Fixed day 0 weight gain.
    • Fixed Matt suddenly liking you more for no reason.
    • Fixed Terry introducing himself twice if certain conditions occurred.
    • Fixed a bug where your weight would be wrong in the Church.
    • Fixed a typo in Terry's "Flirt" dialogue.
    • Fixed a bug where Matt blinks of existence during the "Oh, your clothing is fine" dialogue, only to teleport into the next scene as if nothing happened.
    • Fixed missing mouth movements for the Taxi Driver in the opening sequence.
    • Fixed some of Ben's new content causing a hard-crash.
    • Fixed the new Picnic scene for the park causing a hard-crash.
    • Fixed Ben being able to shred your unbreakable clothes, and wrote a separate scene for this scenario.
    • Fixed a bug where Nettie would suddenly become huge. This wasn't on purpose, but was very welcome while it lasted.
    • Fixed a bug with Bertha's new lewd scenes being accessible even if conditions weren't met to access them.
    • Fixed a bug where the Taxi Driver was invisible during "Heading Home" sequences. He also shows up in the bad-ends now.
    • Fixed a bug where Terry force-feeding you would exceed the fullness cap, causing all sorts of wacky issues.


  • Technical
    • Old saves should be more compatible with new versions of the game now. There's a compatibility module that runs whenever a save it loaded, and it'll tell you if any corrections needed to be made.
    • A WIP icon for Patreon-only builds was added, switched off for public builds.
    • Four of the messiest locations code-wise were tidied up (Sleeping, room service, heading home, and clothing store).



That's it for now. Update 10's going to be all about getting actual endings to the game written and implemented, alongside a healthy dose of lore about the town. There'll be other goodies too, of course, but you'll just have to wait and see! :)
